Micah owns a home in the Lower Ocean Neighborhood with his wife Akiko and his two small children. His neighborhood is disproportionately affected by crime, traffic and drug use and needs representation on the City Council.

A Transportation System for Neighborhoods and our Future

Micah has worked for 20 years creating safe routes to schools, bike lanes and paths, crosswalks, and other safety improvements. He is a primary architect of the vision for a county-wide rail and trail system, which is now currently in the design phase.

Energy, Self Reliance and Climate Action

Micah has hosted events, built awareness and successfully lobbied for a strong Climate Action Plan for the City of Santa Cruz. He supports Measure P – the right to vote on desal.
